In this total five hour workshop, Horta will guide you in a welcoming and beginner friendly environment teaching the main techniques for building clay on the wheel. It will be divided into two days, the first being dedicated to throwing clay on the wheel.

On the second day, we will trim the pieces and put the finishing touches. This course format is dedicated to those who want to learn ceramics for the first time or perfect their techniques.

CLASS PROGRAM

Day 1 Learning to throw the first and essential shape to start with ceramics: a perfect cylinder. You will leave class with cups, mugs and small bowls.

Day 2 Learn how to trim the pieces made the day before, improve the shape, add foot rings and small details like handles, etc.

→ Material and firing are included.

→ The pieces will be done after a minimum of 4 weeks.
